Paul Thomason, age 62 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Wednesday May 21, 2014. He was native of Lawrence County, TN and was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Irene Wyrick Thomason, and a brother, Jimmy Duke.


Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife Connie Faye Manus Thomason; son, Paul K. “Bugger” Thomason and his wife, Kimberly of Murfreesboro, TN; daughters, Stephanie Phillips (Andy McCoy) of Woodbury, TN, and Tonia Patterson and husband Joe of Murfreesboro, TN; father, Robert C. Thomason, Sr. of Murfreesboro, TN grandchildren, Devone (Logan Walmer) , Zachary, and Aaliyah Patterson, Alivia and Addisen Thomason, Justin and Cody Phillips, and Michela Clark; great grandchild, Jayvone Patterson; Brothers, Ray (Pam) Thomason of Murfreesboro, TN, Dale Duke of Woodbury, TN, and R. C. Thomason of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Robbie (Hank) Wells, Eara (Alvin) Morgan, and special sister and best friend,Wanda Lewis all of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers in law, Barry Manus of the Midland Community, and Darrell “Bubba” Manus of Murfreesboro, TN, and devoted friend, Darnelle Herman of Murfreesboro, TN .Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joe Woodside officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Thomason was a member of the Baptist Church, and retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation. Woman struck by Murfreesboro police car - WKRN






MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A woman was hit by a Murfreesboro police car late Wednesday night.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. on Old Fort Parkway near the Target store, not far from North Thompson Lane.


The Tennessee Highway Patrol, who is investigating the crash, told News 2 the victim is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
