Two suspects wanted for multiple shootings in Bolivar, Tennessee, were apprehended Friday at a Murfreesboro motel by a team of federal and local law enforcement officers, according to a news release from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

Suspects Eric O’Neal Chearis, 24, and Zedequis S. Hardy, 20, both of Bolivar, were charged with five counts of aggravated assault, Bolivar Police Chief Pat Baker said in the RCSO release. More charges may be pending.

“We had seven shootings in five days,” Chief Baker said.

One more suspect remains at large, he said.

“We were ready to join the U.S. Marshals and Murfreesboro Police in locating and apprehending these dangerous suspects,” Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold was quoted in the release.

Detective Chuck Thomas, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force, said the U.S. Marshals in Jackson notified the U.S. Marshals in Nashville about the suspects believed to be in Murfreesboro.

“We were able to find them at the Regal Inn on South Church Street,” Detective Thomas said in the release.

Marshals, sheriff’s detectives, along with the Active Crime Enforcement and Traffic Units and the Murfreesboro Police’s Gang Unit took both Chearis and Hardy into custody without any problems, according to the release.

“They had been working here two or three days,” Detective Thomas said.

Hardeman County Sheriff’s deputies picked up the suspects late Friday night to return to Bolivar and face the charges.

Murfreesboro, TN Periodontists, Drs. Steven Daniel and Joanne Gaydos-Daniel ... - DigitalJournal

>PRWEB.COM NewswireMurfreesboro, TN (PRWEB) September 23, 2014

At the Periodontics & Implant Dentistry office, the battle against gum disease is a top priority. For Self-Improvement Month this September, Dr. Steven Daniel and Dr. Joanne Gaydos-Daniel are educating patients on the LANAP® protocol gum surgery, the first FDA cleared laser procedure in the fight against gum disease. For those seeking a periodontist in Murfreesboro, TN, this husband-and-wife team are the dental professionals patients trust to use laser technology to effectively fight infection in the gums.

Rather than using a scalpel to cut away infection as with traditional gum surgery that aims to fight periodontal disease, the periodontists who Murfreesboro, TN patients turn to for help provide gentle laser gum surgery in a simple office visit. With a computer guided laser, the doctors target the infection and damaged tissue to be eliminated while the healthy gum tissue is left intact. The heat of the laser light has been shown to stimulate bone density in the jaw, giving the teeth even stronger support to stay firmly in place.

Patients report only mild discomfort with this minimally invasive procedure, and are usually back to life activities within a day of the surgery. Even better, patients are able to avoid the heavy sedatives and strong pain medications that are usually required for typical gum surgery.

Gum disease is a serious oral health condition that becomes progressively worse if it is not treated. Early symptoms may be easy to ignore, such as:

  • Reddened or painful areas of gums

  • Bleeding with brushing or flossing

  • Persistent mouth odor or bad breath

  • Receding gums

The longer periodontal disease is left untreated, though, the worse the damage to gum tissue will become, as well as potential impact to the bone and supporting structures of the teeth. Furthermore, recent studies indicate significant links between gum disease and other health issues in the body, including strokes, some types of cancers, and heart disease.

Self-Improvement Month is a time for patients to reflect and identify ways in which to improve their oral and overall health.
