Charges pending after Murfreesboro man killed in head-on collision - WKRN






MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

A man was killed in a head-on collision in Rutherford County Wednesday morning.


The crash happened when 31-year-old Lacey Fann somehow crossed the middle yellow lines of Lascassas Pike about seven mile north of Murfreesboro at 6:30 a.m.


Her vehicle crossed into the opposite lanes of traffic and struck Christian Escamilla’s Ford Ranger.


Escamilla, 33, had pulled to the shoulder to avoid Fann’s car, but was struck anyway.


He died at the scene.


Fann was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately released.


According to a traffic report, Fann tested positive for drugs following the accident.


Criminal charges are pending.
