MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
At least one person was killed in a head-on two-vehicle crash in Rutherford County Wednesday morning.
The wreck involving an SUV and pickup truck occurred in the 4200 block of Lascassas Pike near Shady Lane around 6:30 a.m.
The scene is located approximately seven miles northeast of Murfreesboro.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the crash.
One lane of Lascassas Pike was closed to traffic while crews cleared the scene. It has since reopened.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released.
