BELGRADE -- Tennessee police say Edward Tarras, charged with rape and sexual battery of a minor, has fled their state and may be headed to Montana.
Smyrna Police say the man has ties to the Belgrade area.
Tarras was charged with one count of rape, two counts of sexual battery, 19 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor over 100 times.
On August 15, Tarras failed to appear in court in Murfreesboro TN.
Reports indicate that he had allegedly cut his tracking bracelet off and fled the state.
Law enforcement officials learned that Tarras may be headed to Montana or Wyoming, although he also has friends and relatives in the state of New Jersey and Florida. Officials tell us Tarras has ties specifically to Belgrade.
Tarras, 39, is a white man, approximately 5'8" and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He currently has brown hair and a light beard. He is also known to keep his head and face shaved. Tarras has hazel eyes.
Tarras has been added to the TBI Top Ten Most Wanted list and a $1,000.00 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
