Billy Wayne Williams, age 88 of Murfreesboro, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. A native of Fayetteville, IN, he was the son of the late Hassel and Bessie Short Williams. Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by his wife Rhea Dawn Walker Williams, who died in 2009, and a brother, Donald D. Williams, and a granddaughter, Emily Diane Beasley.
Mr. Williams is survived by a son, Mark I. Williams and his wife Denise of Greenville, SC; daughter, Brenda Williams Beasley and her husband Tim of Lascassas, TN; grandchildren, Christopher James Beasley and his wife Sally of Lascassas, TN, Lauren Williams Littlefield and her husband Nate of Noblesville, IN, Joshua Lee Beasley and his wife Emily of Lascassas, TN, and Katherine "Katie" Beasley Petrone and her husband Michael of Ashland City, TN; great-grandchildren, Logan Reese Luther, Carter James Beasley, Ellie Faith Beasley, Owen William Littlefield, and Hazel Rue Beasley.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A private family graveside service will follow the visitation at the Overall Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was a WW II US Army Veteran, a Linotype Operator, and a Pastor.
Mr. Williams was a 1970 graduate of Trinity College in Dunedin, FL, and started preaching in 1970 until 1994, where he served churches in Florida, Indiana, and Tennessee. He was a member of Woodbury First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nail Benders Ministries at Belle Aire Baptist Church.
