John Edwin "Eddy" Thomas, age 53 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday January 20, 2015. A native of Murfreesboro, TN, he was the son of the late Cecil Thomas, Jr. and Glenna Mae Hunter Thomas.
Eddy is survived by his brothers, Rodger Thomas and his wife Sissy, and Kenneth Thomas and his wife Peggy all of Smyrna, TN; sisters, Faye Thomas Bennitt and her husband Michael of Claremont, CA, and Diane Thomas Baxter and her husband David of Christiana, TN; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Brother Albert Watters officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery, with nephews, and co-workers, Mike James, and Jack Winfrey serving as pallbearers.
Eddy attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, and was a printer with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency with the State of Tennessee.
Eddy loved Jesus, and spent all his life ministering to others.
