Two people were killed in a crash as they were leaving a Murfreesboro church Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred at 1:10 p.m. on Old Fort Parkway just outside of Franklin Road Baptist Church.
Authorities stated a vehicle was exiting the church's parking lot and failed to yield the right of way when it pulled into another vehicle's path.
Both occupants of the car leaving the church's parking lot were pronounced dead upon arriving to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
Neither of their identities has been released.
The driver and passenger of the second car received minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital for treatment.
Murfreesboro police said the Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating.
