Sara Christine Lamb Bowman, age 86 of the Crescent Community, died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at NHC Murfreesboro. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Inez Tate Lamb. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Beachum Bowman, son Jerry Bowman and brother, Roy Lee Lamb.
Funeral service will be 9:30 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Ken Bowman and Andy Bowman will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Shane Greenway, Anthony Layhew, Blake and Andy Bowman, Steve, Michael, Bryan, and Eric Lamb serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by two daughters, Judy Greenway and her husband Larry of Murfreesboro, TN, and Sandra Willard of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Ken Bowman and his wife Renee of Carrollton, GA; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Bowman of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Charles William Lamb and his wife Jo of Murfreesboro, TN, Howard Lamb and his wife Marie of Gladeville, TN, and Earl Lamb and his wife Faye of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Frances Conner of Bowling Green, KY; six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bowman was employed at GE for 18 years before her retirement. She will long be remembered by her family and friends. "The one's we love are never gone they live within our hearts forever."
