Thelma Mai Looney Hayes, age 85, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Boulevard Terrace Nursing Center. Thelma was a native of Rutherford County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ephriam and Vella Young Looney; son, Stephen Douglas; sister, Gayle Walden; brothers, Jack Looney and Lynn Looney. Thelma is survived by her son, Bobby Hayes of Honolulu, HI; brother, Andy Looney of Milton, TN; sisters, Wanda Faye Fann of Murfreesboro and Dorothy Ann Moore of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Vanessa Williams and her husband Jonathan of Brentwood and Cheryl Hayes of Huntsville, AL.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
