Ivena Reynolds - Murfreesboro Post

Ivena Reynolds, age 93, of Smyrna, TN passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014. Born June 23, 1921 in Albany, KY she was the daughter of the late Brownlow and Maye Byers.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Levi and Donnie; brother, Bill Byers; sister, Minnie Crothers; and husbands, Roy Clark, John Stockton, Ralph Phillips, Letcher Foster, and Earl C. Reynolds.


She is survived by her son, Ronald Phillips and his wife Mary Ellen of Annville, PA; daughter, Levoynne Foxworthy of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Darren Foxworthy and his wife Amanda, Beth Foxworthy Ashley all of Murfreesboro, TN, Heather Wilcox of Denver, CO, Jen Stanich of Windemere, FL, and Amber Cramer of Hershey, PA. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, JD and Hunter Haley, Cayley, Logan and Trista Foxworthy, Nicholas Stanich, Emma Lawler, Charlie Wilcox, Kara, and Aaron Dobrolsky and Ryan and Regan Cramer. Surviving sisters include Ruby and her husband Richard Birkey, Marie Urich, Benita Grogan, all of Hoopeston, IL, Lola Fields and her husband Charles of Elizabethtown, KY and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.


Ivena was an active member of the Stones River Baptist Church, known by all for her warm and friendly greeting and loving hugs. She was on the Welcome Committee at church. She was a member of the Gutterball Grannies that bowled every Monday morning. She was also a member of the Smyrna Senior Center for over fifteen years.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Smyrna Senior Center or to Stones River Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Reynolds.


Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and Wednesday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Stones River Baptist Church (361 Sam Ridley Pkwy E, Smyrna, TN 37167).


Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00AM at Stones River Baptist Church with Brother Oscar White officiating.


There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
