Susan M. Meier, age 52, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel John and Virginia Hawkins McGregor.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Mark Sappenfield will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Kerry Meier; children, Kristen A. Meier of Murfreesboro, 1LT Joey S. Meier of Savannah, GA, and Caitlin A. Meier of Murfreesboro; brother, Steve McGregor and his wife Jean of NC; sisters, Stephanie Earley of VA and Sarah Paquette and her husband Tom of TX; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Susan was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was a member of the Legion of Mary. Susan enjoyed tutoring children and was the founding member of Petals with a Purpose. She shared her love of children's books with many children. Susan was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
Memorials can be made to St. Rose of Lima Library or to L.E.A.R.N. (Life Enrichment and Recreation Network.
Susan's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00PM.
