MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -
A Murfreesboro police detective was found dead on Wednesday.
Detective Lt. Charlie Goodloe, 48, was found dead at his Rutherford County home on Wednesday afternoon, a Murfreesboro Police Department spokesperson said.
The Rutherford County sheriff has requested the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation conduct an investigation into Goodloe's death.
Police said it does not appear foul play was involved.
Goodloe was a 25-year veteran with the department.
